Visiting the exhibition has become a company tradition, offering us a welcome opportunity to step away from our daily routines, reconnect with business partners and see first-hand where the energy industry is heading.
Although most technical information is now just a few clicks away, nothing quite replaces face-to-face meetings, the opportunity to examine new equipment up close or conversations with the people behind its development and production. That is why we make the trip to Poland every autumn. And even after years of attending, there is always something new to discover.
ENERGETAB – More Than Just a Trade Fair
This year’s ENERGETAB brought together more than 500 exhibitors from 31 countries across Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas. Over the decades, the exhibition has established itself as one of Central and Eastern Europe’s most important meeting places for professionals in the electrical engineering, energy and industrial automation sectors.
Unlike many other international trade fairs, ENERGETAB has a particularly strong focus on the Polish market and its development. However, its significance extends well beyond Poland’s borders. The event brings together grid operators, equipment manufacturers, system integrators, engineering companies and industrial businesses to showcase new solutions, exchange experiences and discuss the future of the energy sector.
For us, ENERGETAB is above all an opportunity to maintain close relationships with our business partners, learn about their latest developments and discover new solutions that we can bring to our customers in Estonia.
Familiar Partners, Fresh News
Five of our business partners were represented at this year’s exhibition: EFEN, ZWAE, Multi-Tab, FT Żychlin and Euromek. Our meetings provided valuable updates on familiar products, along with some exciting insights into developments planned for the coming years.
EFEN – More Possibilities in Less Space

EFEN introduced its new E⁵ series of NH fuse-switch disconnectors, developed with a particular focus on compact design and efficient use of space.

The new devices can be installed in distribution cabinets as shallow as 250 mm. The E⁵ series also offers enhanced measurement and monitoring capabilities, including the option of installing current transformers directly behind the switch contacts. This helps save valuable space around the busbars inside distribution cabinets.
We also discussed upcoming changes to EFEN’s current transformer product range. While we cannot reveal all the details just yet, we hope to share some exciting news early next year.
ZWAE – High-Voltage Equipment with Short Lead Times
ZWAE presented its range of high-voltage disconnectors and earthing switches. One of the company’s key strengths continues to be its relatively short delivery times, which can be just as important as technical specifications when planning major power network projects.

For example, the lead time for 110 kV disconnectors is approximately 14 weeks – a significant advantage when it comes to project planning and implementation.
Multi-Tab – Smart Solutions in the Smallest Details
Not every innovation at an energy exhibition involves large or complex electrical equipment. Sometimes, a practical improvement comes in the form of a simple but cleverly designed solution.

Multi-Tab demonstrated new infrastructure identification and marking solutions, including mounting systems for high-voltage transmission towers that allow identification plates and signs to be installed without drilling into the tower structures.
Why does this matter? Avoiding drilling helps preserve the protective zinc coating, reduces the risk of corrosion and extends the service life of the structures. A small detail, perhaps, but one that can make a considerable difference over time.
FT Żychlin – Transformers and Power Network Modernisation
FT Żychlin (FTZ) is one of Poland’s well-known transformer manufacturers, offering power transformers and related solutions for electricity networks and industrial applications.

The exhibition provided an opportunity to learn about the company’s latest product developments and discuss trends in power system modernisation. With electricity networks undergoing continuous upgrades and reliability requirements becoming increasingly demanding, transformer technology remains an essential part of the energy industry’s development.
Euromek – New Additions to the Instrument Transformer Range
Euromek continued to focus on its core expertise – instrument transformers – while also sharing news about upcoming additions to its product portfolio.

New auxiliary voltage transformers are approaching production, and according to the company’s development plans, combined instrument transformers are expected to join the range next year.
These additions will allow Euromek to offer customers an even broader selection of instrument transformer solutions.
Where Is the Energy Industry Heading?
In addition to meeting our existing partners, we had the opportunity to connect with several new manufacturers and discuss potential cooperation. Trade fairs are excellent places for making new contacts – sometimes an unexpected conversation can prove just as valuable as a carefully scheduled business meeting.
This year’s ENERGETAB once again highlighted the strong focus on power network reliability, substation modernisation and the adoption of new technologies, both in Poland and across the wider European energy sector.
Several key trends stood out throughout the exhibition: grid digitalisation, renewable energy integration, energy storage, electrification and improving security of electricity supply.
These are no longer simply visions of the future. They are challenges and opportunities that grid operators, equipment manufacturers and other energy industry professionals are already addressing in their everyday work.
A Tradition Worth Continuing
Every visit to ENERGETAB is a little different. Some years, it is the new equipment and technological innovations that leave the strongest impression. Other times, it is the conversations, familiar faces or unexpected opportunities for cooperation that make the trip particularly memorable.
One thing, however, remains unchanged: events like ENERGETAB help us stay connected with developments in our industry, expand our technical knowledge and strengthen relationships with the people and companies we have worked with for many years.
And if all of this also provides a welcome change from the usual working routine, that is certainly an added bonus.
ENERGETAB 2026 has come to an end, but our autumn trade fair tradition continues. See you next year!
